Blue Ant Studios Inks Development Deal with Tamra Simmons

Blue Ant Studios has signed a new development deal with Atlanta-based producer, writer, talent director and entrepreneur Tamra Simmons.
Per the deal, Simmons will work with Blue Ant Studios to identify and develop a slate of unscripted projects that explore diverse perspectives and experiences. Simmons is executive producer at LA Productions and has earned international accolades for her production work across true crime, social justice and entertainment.
Simmons’ portfolio as a producer includes
Surviving R. Kelly,
Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta and
Growing Up Hip Hop: LA, and
Mary Mary.

Blue Ant Studios, the production arm of Canada’s Blue Ant Media, has sealed a development deal with Surviving R Kelly producer Tamra Simmons.

Her previous credits as a producer includes docuseries Surviving R Kelly, Surviving R Kelly Part II: The Reckoning, Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta and Growing Up Hip Hop: LA and Mary Mary.
Simmons is also the resident executive producer at LA Productions and CEO of her Atlanta-based firm The Tamra Simmons Brand Agency, which specialises in talent partnerships, brand development and television and film development for its clients internationally.

Blue Ant Media has inked a new partnership with Content Catalyst Fund (CCF), Julie Bristow’s development and funding venture.
The deal will see the two companies develop, produce and sell women-created unscripted programming for the Canadian and international market, encompassing all of Blue Ant’s resources as a broadcaster, producer and distributor.
CCF will develop unscripted projects across genres such as lifestyle, crime and “high impact” docuseries. Blue Ant Studios will produce titles in collaboration with CCF, with Bristow (pictured) serving as executive producer. The IP creators wil
