CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) Farmers, environmentalists and small-town business owners gathered at the Hoover Dam on Thursday to call for a moratorium on pipelines and dams along the Colorado River that they said jeopardizes the 40 million people who rely on it as a water source.

Shipment of COVID-19 vaccine arrives in Central Texas
Areawide almost 14,000 vials of vaccine are part of this first mass delivery.
AUSTIN, Texas - One of the first shipments of the COVID19 vaccine to arrive in Austin came in a single white box a little before 9 a.m. Monday morning and was rolled into a secured location at UT s Dell Medical School.
Jennifer Harrison, the Sr. Director of Clinical Operations was well aware of the significance of this moment. It was a very surreal moment and being part of history today, and understanding such a small box is so important and pivotal to our country at this moment,” said Harrison.
