QUINCY, MI (WTVB) â The Quincy track teams won at home on Wednesday as they defeated Homer and Reading in a Big 8 Conference meet.
Quincy edged Reading by 11 1/2 points to win the boys meet. The Orioles had 217 1/2 points followed by Reading with 206 and Homer with 141 1/2.
Quincyâs Wyatt Towers won the 400 and the Orioles got a first place finish in the 1600 relay.
The margin of victory for the Quincy girls was much larger as they finished with 282 points followed by Homer with 135 and Reading with 109.
First place finishers for the Orioles were Nikkia Cronk (100, 200 and high jump), Avery Rufenacht (800 and 1600), Emily Snell (100 hurdles), Raigan Horsfall (shot put), Sophia Snellenberger (discus), Lita Fulton (pole vault) and Anna Richer (long jump). Quincy won the 400, 800 and 3200 relays.
