Bilingual duo Aro, are taking their music on the
road this spring to celebrate and share the stories of our
waters, in support of their latest project, & EP release
‘He Wai’. The tour intentionally coincides with Māhuru
Māori and Te Wiki o te Reo Māori which celebrates the
Māori language. Aro are performing across the
whenua, throughout September & October, visiting coastal
communities, big & small, and other intimate venues near
bodies of water as part of their ‘He Wai’ National
release tour.
During the spring tour, Aro will also
continue on with their established education programme

Year 3 pupils from Oasis Academy Clarksfield with their letter
A group of eco-conscious youngsters from an Oldham primary school who sent a letter to the Prime Minister were overwhelmed when they received a response.
Year 3 pupils from Oasis Academy Clarksfield, recently wrote to 10 Downing Street after they had learnt about trees and the effects deforestation have on wildlife. Last week a member of the PM’s team wrote back to them.
Eshan, Year 3 Pupil at Oasis Academy Clarksfield said: We wrote a letter to Boris Johnson because we have been learning about why trees are important and deforestation. We watched a video about orangutans losing their homes because of deforestation and we wanted to do something to stop it. I didn’t think he would answer us but we got a letter back from him telling us how he is trying to help.

Oasis Academy Clarksfield pupils get stuck into the ‘Keep Clarksfield Clean’ campaign
Pupils at a primary school in the heart of Oldham have joined members of the public to kickstart the ‘Keep Clarksfield Clean’ campaign.
Staff and students at Oasis Academy Clarksfield joined members of the community to undertake the first project in their ‘Keep Clarksfield Clean’ campaign.
Pupils joined members of the community to help clean up one of the local alleyways, which backs onto the school, and even donated some of their own flowerbeds to bring colour to the area.
