On Monday evening, the Southeast Utah health Department announced 237 active cases of COVID-19 within the region. Ten of these patients are currently hospitalized due to the virus.
Since COVID-19 testing began, 34,201 tests have been administered throughout Carbon, Emery and Grand counties with 2,280 positive results and 15 deaths. With the rise in cases, Carbon, Emery and Grand counties remain in the High Transmission Level.
In the past seven days, Carbon County has averaged 195 tests per day with a positive test rate of 17.19%, down from 18.34% the previous week. In Emery County, an average of 98 tests have been administered per day with a positive test rate of 29.17%, up from 18.18% the previous week. Grand County has averaged 125 tests per day with an average positive test rate of 23.64%, up from 20.73% the previous week.
