The 40,500-square-foot center is expected to bring jobs and business to Epping.
The Experience Center will feature an expanded retail shop, a Sig Sauer museum, a multi-purpose meeting space, conference rooms and a state-of-the-art shooting range, according to Tom Taylor, marketing officer for Sig Sauer. The Experience Center will be one of the top attractions of the Seacoast, with people from all over the world coming to experience our brand, he said as people gathered for the outdoor ceremony.
The new retail space will have 5,000 square feet, in contrast with the current facility s 2,000 square feet, he said. The Conference Center will seat 100 people and both it and the conference rooms will be available to the community.
Police: Driver, 19, arrested after Route 101 chase

EPPING A 19-year-old woman is facing multiple charges after attempting to elude police on Route 101 early Sunday morning, according to State Police.
Sydney Moody, of Manchester, was spotted about 4:40 a.m. in a Hyundai sedan driving 95 mph in the area of Exit 5 on Route 101 eastbound, according to police.
Trooper George Sanborn, after clocking Moody s vehicle, then attempted to stop the driver, police said. As Sanborn caught up to the vehicle near Exit 6, he activated his emergency lighting with no response from Moody, police said. The Hyundai s driver took the Exit 6 off ramp, went through the intersection of Depot Road and increased speed in a deliberate attempt to elude apprehension, police allege.
