Following the split decision on Leader of Opposition in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif’s bail petition, the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday formed a new bench to decide upon the matter. Chief Justice LHC Qasim Khan formed a three-member bench to hear the bail plea of Shehbaz Sharif. The new bench is headed by Justice Ali Baqir Naji, while Justice Aalia Neelam and Justice Shahbaz Rizvi would be the member of the bench.
Earlier, the judges of the LHC bench came up with a split decision on Sharif’s release on bail. Justice Sarfraz Dogar, who headed the bench, allowed the petition while its other member Justice Asjad Javed Ghural dismissed the same on merits. In his dissenting order, Justice Ghural also accused the senior judge of issuing the bail granting short order ‘unilaterally’. NAB court extends judicial remand of Shehbaz Sharif in money laundering case
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Accountability court on Thursday has extended judicial remand of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president Shehbaz Sharif after reviewing jail warrant in money laundering reference.
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) court has also approved exemption from the hearing plea of Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly Hamza Shahbaz and adjourned the proceedings till May 4.

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader and former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Sunday said that
everyone will see what will happen in the Senate polls.
The PML-N leader expressed hope that the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader and joint candidate of opposition’s Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) Yusuf Raza Gilani will win the Senate elections and it would be a no-confidence motion against the government.
Shahid Khaqan said the PDM is fighting for improvement in the system. He said the PML-N member and Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly Hamza Shahbaz has not been granted bail due to any deal.
