Golden Arrows goalkeeper Sifiso Mlungwana says he won t drop his head despite being overlooked for the Olympics training squad travelling to UAE next month.
Mlungwana, 24, has enjoyed an incredible breakout season in the DStv Premiership and played an integral role as Arrows look poised to secure third place in the league with CAF Confederation Cup qualification on offer.
Having been promoted from the DStv Diski Challenge squad, the stopper has ousted more experienced figures in the squad like Maximilian Mbaeva, Edmore Sibanda, Nkosingiphile Gumede for a starting line-up spot.
And despite his nomination for the Goalkeeper of the Season award alongside Denis Onyango and Veli Mothwa, he s determined to overcome the disappointment of being overlooked by U-23 head coach David Notoane.
