The Barry-Lawrence Regional Library Summer Reading Challenge is now accepting registrations. This year’s theme is “Tails and Tales,” and will feature a mix of virtual and in-person events throughout the library district. Those who would like to attend may sign up at the library or online at blrlibrary.org.
The Pierce City Senior Citizens Board will continue offering curbside senior lunches from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesdays and will be hosting dine-in only lunches from noon to 12:30 p.m. Thursdays throughout the month of June. Diners will need to follow the CDC guidelines pertaining to COVID-19. The price for lunches will increase to $5 for seniors 55 and older. Those under 55 will pay $6. Also, on the first Thursday of each month, Nell’s Nails will be back to serve seniors for a nominal fee at about 9 a.m. No reservations are needed. The building is also now available for renting.
