Due to take place between 17–23 May, this championship sees teams representing 20 international Member Associations, and is the fourth event to be staged by the World Curling Federation in a 2020–2021 season truncated by pandemic challenges. Previously, the BKT Tires & OK Tire World Men’s Curling Championship 2021 and the LGT World Women’s Curling Championship 2021 both took place in a COVID-secure “bubble” in Calgary, Canada, while the World Wheelchair-B Championship 2020 was staged at the Kisakallio Sports Institute in Lohja, Finland.
