NOSTALGIA: Holbeach map skills and Long Sutton certificates in 2011

Students at the old George Farmer Technology and Language College at Holbeach were doing field work on map skills ten years ago this week.

Achievements from the past year were celebrated at Long Suttonâs Peele Community College back in 2011.
Students in the previous yearâs Year 9, 10 and 11 gathered at the college â now University Academy Long Sutton â to receive their certificates for qualifications achieved in 2010.

A drama graduate from Sutton St James is lighting up childrenâs lives online with a daily diary from a much-loved childrenâs character.
Gaby Ward (21) is spreading some much-needed Christmas cheer up until the big day by acting out a set of short stories, called Mr Beaverâs Advent Series.
Based on the character from The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, part of The Chronicles of Narnia series written by C. S. Lewis, Gaby describes each one-minute to three-minute episode as a way âto make people a bit happier in rough timesâ.
