Steven Branscombe-USA TODAY Sports The Nebraska Cornhuskers face off against the Penn State Nittany Lions for the third time this season the teams split their games during the regular season. The road team won each time in this season’s series with Nebraska notching a narrow 62-61 win Sunday, Feb. 14 at Penn State before falling in Lincoln to the Nittany Lions 86-83 on Tuesday, Feb. 23. The two teams faced off last in the Big Ten Tournament in 2017 in Washington, D.C. That 76-67 overtime loss by the Huskers was the first Nebrasketball attended by yours truly. The teams also faced off in the 2015 Big Ten Tournament in Chicago and the Huskers lost a narrow one 68-65. Both games were played on the first rounds falling on Wednesday.

Huskers Open Big Ten Tournament with Minnesota The Nebraska women’s basketball team begins postseason tournament play this week when the Huskers travel to Indianapolis for the 2021 Big Ten Tournament. The No. 8 seed Huskers (11-11, 9-10 Big Ten) tip-off tournament play on Wednesday by battling No. 9 seed Minnesota (8-12, 7-11 Big Ten) at 10 a.m. (CT) Bankers Life Fieldhouse. The game will be televised live by the Big Ten Network, while fans can also follow Nebraska with the Husker Sports Network call of Matt Coatney and Jeff Griesch across the radio network stations, the Huskers App and Huskers.com. Although Nebraska enters the tournament with a higher seed than the Golden Gophers, Minnesota swept the season series with the Huskers.  Minnesota defeated Nebraska 73-63 in Minneapolis (Feb. 24).
