Finnish Food Workers Union calling for boycott on beer produced in Estonia 2021-04-05 BNS/TBT Staff
TALLINN - The Finnish Food Workers Union has called on Twitter for a boycott of a product of a small brewery located in Kontula, Helsinki, because the beverage is produced in Estonia, Postimees reports.
A new beer, Kontula Brewery s Keijo lager appeared in Finnish grocery stores in mid-March. Keijo is not produced in Finland, however, but in the A. Le Coq factory in Tartu, the company said in a press release, according to the Finnish business daily Taloussanomat.
While the the brewery made no secret of where said type of lager is produced, consumers could be misled by the brand name clearly referring to Helsinki s Kontula subdivision.
