FREMONT, CA Two Fremont restaurants were chosen by the California Restaurant Foundation to receive grants of up to $3,500 to help recover from pandemic closures. They are among 318 mom-and-pop restaurants in eight counties chosen for the grants, with 33 of those restaurants here in Alameda County. The full list is below. No grants were made in Contra Costa County.
The Fremont restaurants are Little by Little, and Qochon.
Wells Fargo donated $250,000 for the grants.

BRANFORD, CT Three Branford eateries have been awarded a Connecticut Restaurant Relief Fund grant by food delivery company DoorDash. Home, Le Petit Café, and GW Carson s receive $5,000 each, provided by the DoorDash Main Street Strong effort.
To date, 92 Connecticut eateries have been chosen for the grants, earmarked for some of the state s hardest hit restaurants. Administered by the philanthropic non-profit arm of the Connecticut Hospitality Educational Foundation, the funds will be used to cover operating costs including rent, payroll, purchasing PPE, expanding outdoor dining capacity, and other expenses.
