Young people like Jeremiah - who we think is a bit of a star, too. Not just because he s talented musically, But even more so, because he s taken a challenging situation and turned his life around here at Covenant House Michigan in Detroit.
When I was young, one of my teachers asked everyone in the class what they wanted to be when they grew up, Cross reflected. While just about everybody said they wanted to be a lawyer, a doctor or something along those lines, I said I wanted to be a fashion designer, even though I wasn t completely sure what fashion designers actually did.
She followed the revelation with a hearty laugh.
Not only does Cross know what a fashion designer does now, she could probably write a pretty compelling book about the day in the life of one.
