Re-Release Date: 10/31/2006
| 02/12/2007 (4 out of 5 stars) Anyone who has bought Sony/BMG s Extended Versions series of live classic rock recordings knows that most of these releases have been culled from previous CD releases. This one is no exception; eight of the CD s ten tracks are taken from 2002 s Living With The Past, which featured the line-up of Ian Anderson, Martin Barre, Andrew Giddings, Jonathan Noyce, and Doane Perry. Two songs, Cross-Eyed Mary and Thick as a Brick, appeared on the companion Living in the Past DVD, but not the CD and, for Tull fans, would be the primary reason for picking up this CD. Fans that are new to Jethro Tull or casual fans, looking to pick up live versions of some of the band s greatest hits, will likely enjoy this collection. The playing is first-rate and the recording is very good.
