Jury selection has begun in the murder trial against a man accused of killing his mother at Airlie Beach.
Christopher Mark Britton has already pleaded not guilty to one count of murder, which allegedly occurred 25 years ago.
It is alleged Mr Britton shot his mother in the face on or about March 6, 1996 at Jubilee Pocket.
Her body was discovered a day after her alleged murder when relatives arrived to find her front door open and a shotgun missing from her home.
Mr Britton was arrested in June 2018.
The trial, under Supreme Court Justice David North, begins this morning.
