Ukraine interested in economic cooperation with Vietnam

Ukraine is interested in enhancing economic cooperation with Vietnam and building effective cooperation with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
According to the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this issue was discussed at a meeting of Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Yevheniy Yenin and Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Ukraine Nguyen Hong Thach.

President receives credentials from ambassadors of Vietnam, Brazil and Italy

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has received credentials from the newly appointed ambassadors of Vietnam, Brazil and Italy.
The head of state hopes to further intensify cooperation with these states at all levels for the benefit of citizens, his press service reports.
During a conversation with Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Ukraine Nguyen Hong Thach, the president expressed gratitude for the assistance provided by the Vietnamese side during the most difficult period of the first wave of COVID-19. He stressed the interest in establishing practical cooperation between Ukrainian pharmaceutical plants and Vietnamese partners in the development and production of COVID-19 vaccines.

New UK coronavirus variant extremely worrisome: Health Minister
Given the detection of the new UK variant of the coronavirus, the Health Ministry has ordered greater efforts in the fight against the Covid-19 outbreak in Vietnam till the end of the year, to ensure local residents can enjoy the upcoming Lunar New Year or Tet, said Minister of Health Nguyen Thanh Long at a virtual meeting today, December 23.
The new coronavirus strain, which has been detected in the UK, has triggered concern among scientists and the public over the effectiveness of a Covid-19 vaccine. The new variant prompted more countries to impose lockdowns and suspend flights and entry from the UK. Vietnam is closely monitoring the new variant of the virus, Minister Long said.
