A Cumbrian mental health campaign led by our region’s sixth formers is sharing tips to help people protect their mental health. The Share a Smile Tea is a group based in Eden made up of sixth form students from Ullswater Community College, QEGS Penrith, Appleby Grammar School and Kirkby Stephen Grammar School. It has been working alongside Carlisle Eden Mind, who aim to increase young people and the wider community’s understanding of positive mental health and the impact everyone can have on this by sharing kindness with each other. Cumbria mental health charity Carlisle Eden Mind expressed its gratitude towards the students while also hailing the message that the students were able to put across to the wider community.
