WHITE HOUSE - The subject of Iran overshadowed an Oval Office meeting Monday between U.S. President Joe Biden and his Israeli counterpart. Iran will never get a nuclear weapon on my watch, Biden told outgoing Israeli President Reuven Rivlin.
Biden made the statement a day after he ordered airstrikes against what U.S. military officials describe as a pair of operational and weapons storage facilities of Iranian-backed militias in Syria and Iraq. Today, we are going to be discussing the broad range of challenges, including Iran, Biden said ahead of his meeting with Israeli President Reuven Rivlin. Biden s comments come a day after the US military launched airstrikes against Iran-backed militias Kata ib Hezbollah and Kata ib Sayyid al-Shuhada in the Syrian-Iraqi border region in response to attacks against American interests in Iraq.

Biden spoke as he sat down with Israeli President Reuven Rivlin. Biden had a lot of insincere things to say about his support for Israel, which has to be tempered by the pro-Palestinian sentiment in the Democratic Party.
