Sweden picks up Bangarra doco

The doco, which marks Bangarra Dance Theatre’s 30th anniversary, tells the story of how three young Aboriginal brothers Stephen, David and Russell Page turned the newly born dance group into a First Nations cultural powerhouse. But success came at a huge personal cost. ABC Commercial’s Head of Content Sales & Distribution, Jessica Ellis said “We are incredibly proud to be partnering with SVT on this exceptional documentary. The interest surrounding the program prior to its distribution launch at Avant Première has been phenomenal. Audiences from film festival screenings have embraced and celebrated this stunning addition to ABC Commercial’s Arts slate”.

The brains behind hit TV, films will meet in Lennox Head

Bluey, producers of Australian films such as Top End Wedding, or shows like Wentworth, will all meet in Lennox Head next month to share their expertise. Screenworks Regional to Global Screen Forum will include three packed days with workshops, presentations, one-on-one meetings, round tables and networking events to be held online or in person. In person at Lennox Head will be Charlie Aspinwall and Sam Moore, co-founder and producer at Ludo Studio respectively. Ludo jumped into global stardom with hit series Bluey.   Two executives from Ludo Studios, the creators of Bluey, will be at the Lennox Head event.
