NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - For nearly two decades, Coach Robert Hooks’ volunteers his time and his heart to the kids of New Orleans, coaching them in sports and in life. Lately, he admits he’s losing more than winning.
“I’ve lost three players within one year. Getting close to a child and watching them grow into young men is hard to lose a child. You feel like it’s your child,” says Hooks.

NEW ORLEANS “And this is a chase right now going on. He is driving wild, going the wrong way down the street,” said Justin Brown as he recorded the police chase on his cell phone.
That wild scene played out Friday morning as New Orleans police chased a speeding silver truck going the wrong way on Elysian Fields Avenue. Inside the truck, seven juveniles, ages 13 to 17.
