An Accountability Court (AC) on Thursday adjourned hearing on Park Lane reference against former president Asif Ali Zardari and others till August 18.
National Accountability Bureau (NAB)’s Prosecutor Irfan Bhola presented some missing documents to the court regarding the reference and prayed it to make the same as part of the case record.
However, the defence lawyer Sheraz Rajper opposed the request and said that no documents could be filed after submission of reference.
Meanwhile, the court also granted one-day exemption from hearing to Asif Ali Zardari and Omni Group’s Khawaja Abdul Ghani Majeed on their lawyers’ request.

ISLAMABAD: Aftab Memon, a former secretary of Land Utilisation Department, Sindh Board of Revenue, was granted post-arrest bail on Friday after two years of detention in the fake bank accounts case.
An Islamabad High Court division bench, headed by Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani, granted post-arrest bail to Mr Memon against Rs1 million surety bonds.
Mr Memon has been facing charges of misuse of authority and making illegal allotment of land.
He was arrested in March 2019 for an investigation into alleged misuse of his authority. He is suspected of having illegally allotted government land to M/S Pink Residency and others.

ISLAMABAD: An accountability court on Tuesday recorded the statement of another witness against former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and others in the LNG graft reference.
AC-II Judge Muhammad Azam Khan conducted the hearing against Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Abdullah Khaqan, ex-finance minister Miftah Ismail and others.
At the outset of the hearing, the defence lawyer requested the court to grant one-day exemption from hearing to Miftah Ismail as he was out of the city. At this, the court recorded the statement of NAB witness Hasan Bhatti and made the documents produced by him part of the case record.
