A Brant man is being held after his arrest in connection to the death of an Angola woman, whose body was found earlier this month.
Gina Baca, 45, had been missing for several days when her body was found by troopers July 1 in a wooded area off Rt. 438 in Brant.
Keith Renaldo, Jr., 38, was arrested on Wednesday afternoon and then arraigned on a murder charge in Brant Town Court. The Erie County District Attorney s office says he s accused of fatally shooting Baca on June 26.

ALDEN, N.Y. (WKBW) â Almost 40 inmates refused the post dinner lock-in order at the Erie Country Correctional Facility in Alden on Monday night, according to the Erie County Sheriff s Office. The union says the situation was brewing for about two weeks when inmates in the housing unit lost use of the microwave.
The stand-off lasted a few hours.

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) â How is it that an officer of the Buffalo Police Department could be suspended two days for excessive use of force against a suspect, and suspended 45 working days for improperly tagging people s parking tickets?
It s what the man who was on the receiving end of that excessive force wants to know, and it s information we re only aware of because of the repeal of Section 50-a of New York s Civil Right s Law in 2020.
The Erie County District Attorney s Office has revealed that Larrinsha Johnson, 18, the Buffalo woman found dead in a car early last Saturday morning in Martin Luther King Jr. Park, was strangled.
The county Medical Examiner s office said the preliminary cause of death was asphyxiation due to manual strangulation, and added she was also severely beaten. An official autopsy report is pending.
Johnson was a senior at Math Science Technical Preparatory School in Buffalo. Dozens of members of the school community held a balloon-releasing ceremony at MST in her memory this week.
Her boyfriend, Mushagdusa Nankumba, 18 of Buffalo, was taken into custody shortly after police responded to a suspicious incident call at MLK Park around 2:30 a.m. Saturday. He was charged with second degree murder and is being held without bail at the Erie County Holding Center.
