OGDENSBURG – The officers and pastors of the Salvation Army of Ogdensburg have left the north country for a new position in the south.
“Ogdensburg will always have a special place in our hearts. We will continue to pray for the mission of The Salvation Army and the city of Ogdensburg,” said Lieutenant Mark Devanney and Captain Ann Marie Devanney, in the Salvation Army Facebook post.
With their departure March 31, Tom Chapell, former officer of The Salvation Army, is the interim director. Chapell will offer the church Ministry, Messy Church, on Sundays at 4 p.m. in the building located at 401 Franklin St, Ogdensburg.
