Dozens of local officials and patrons attended the library’s grand reopening Wednesday. The library recently underwent a $1.1 million renovation project that includes handicap accessible features, a new front entrance, a local history section, expanded children’s department, a new teen section, private study rooms, maker space, recording studio, genealogy area and more.

CADIZ After nearly a year in the works, the Puskarich Public Library unveiled its newly renovated facility that includes an array of new amenities for the public to enjoy.

The library recently underwent a $1.1 million renovation project that includes handicap accessible features, a new front entrance, a local history section, expanded children’s department, a new teen section, private study rooms, maker space, recording studio, genealogy area and more.

CADIZ Harrison County residents will have the opportunity to test themselves for the coronavirus from the comfort of their home now that the Puskarich Public Library is offering free at-home COVID-19 test kits to residents.
Library Director Sandi Thompson made the announcement during Wednesday’s Harrison County Board of Commissioners meeting. She said the library has 400 at-home test kits available for pick-up.
The tests were provided to the library through the Ohio Department of Health.
The rapid testing kits are self-administered and provide results within minutes, Thompson said.
The kits work through an app that the individual must download onto their smartphone, tablet or computer.
