Eurot Kymenlaaksoon -kampanja haluaa kääntää ostosvirrat paikallisiin yrityksiin. Kampanja pyörii kadunvarsitauluilla ja somessa koko kesän. Kymenlaakson kauppakamarin kampanja muistuttaa ostopäätöksen valinnan merkityksestä. Kertyneet eurot auttavat alueen yrityksiä ylläpitämään toimintaansa ja luomaan työpaikkoja.
Ostokäyttäytymisellä on merkittäviä konkreettisia vaikutuksia. Esimerkiksi Kymenlaakson välittömät matkailutulot olivat 185 miljoonaa euroa ja välitön matkailutyöllisyys 916 henkilötyövuotta.

George Russell apologised publicly to Formula One rival Valtteri Bottas on Monday for his behaviour after the pair collided at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix. Yesterday wasn t my proudest day, the 23-year-old Briton said on social media.
The Williams driver had been trying to pass Bottas Mercedes for ninth place on Sunday when they made contact at speed and crashed out, bringing the race to a halt. Neither was hurt and stewards declared it a racing incident.
“I keep teasing him [Russell], I said if he does a good job he can be in a Mercedes, if not we are doing Renault Clio Cup. And today we are closer to the Renault Clio Cup.”
Speaking in his post-race column, F1 chief Ross Brawn shared how he viewed the situation, adding: “I’m sure both drivers will analyse the incident and learn from it but it did look like Valtteri drifted across and left George nowhere to go.”
The stewards ultimately considered the crash to be a racing incident, opting to take no further action.

FORMULA ONE: Max Verstappen survived deluge and debris at Imola yesterday (Apr 18) to claim his first win of the season in his championship battle with Lewis Hamilton.

Verstappen snatched the lead from pole-getter Hamilton at the first braking zone, muscling the championship leader wide and over the kerbs, breaking part of his front wing.
Hamilton didn’t have much time to respond. A pre-race downpour had soaked the track and was creating chaos further down the field, and Nicholas Latifi collided with Haas rookie Nikita Mazepin to send himself into the barriers.
