MILWAUKEE â On Friday the YWCA of Southeast Wisconsin hosted a panel discussion on racism as a public health crisis with local leaders and community advocates.

YSU EARTH DAY: An Earth Day tree dedication will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the west side of Tod Hall on the Youngstown State University campus. The dedication is for the YSU Legacy Forests program 2020 freshmen campus tree. There will be a program on YSU’s efforts to reduce climate change by planting trees. Every year the YSU Legacy Forests program will plant trees equal to the number of incoming freshmen. The 2020 freshmen microforest was planted by YSU students last fall. This spring, YSU is dedicating a campus tree with a plaque to honor the freshmen class. Guests are required to wear masks and social distance.
