LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) An extensive restoration project for St. Joseph the Workman Cathedral in La Crosse will include removing more than 229 stones weighing a total of 70,000 pounds from the bell tower and replacing them.
The nearly 58 years since the cathedral was dedicated on May 14, 1962, have taken their toll on the church, elements of which will be restored inside and out, according to a news release from the diocese Thursday. ....
