Gregory top collegian in Dellinger meet, Arkansas places third

Arkansas’ Lauren Gregory bettered the collegiate field over 6,000m in the Bill Dellinger Invitational with a time of 20 minutes, 6.9 seconds on Thursday evening, leading the Razorbacks as they finished third in team finish behind Utah and Colorado State.

No 3 Razorbacks set for challenges in NCAA West Preliminary

The Razorbacks make a return trip to E.B. Cushing Stadium where they recently claimed the SEC Championship to complete a conference triple crown for the 2020-21 season. Arkansas was the lone Division I school to complete a men’s and women’s conference triple crown this season. Only two other schools achieved the feat this past year in Division I, the Charlotte men in Conference USA as well as the Arkansas State women in the Sun Belt. This marked the third time the Razorbacks men and women accomplished a conference triple crown in the same season. The first occurred in 1999-2000 and then again in 2015-16.

Five victories for No 2 Arkansas at LSU Invitational, Gear wins 1,500m in Clovis

Shawn Price May 1, 2021 BATON ROUGE, La. – No. 2 Arkansas claimed three victories while finishing as the top collegian in two additional events during a productive day of competition at the LSU Invitational held inside Bernie Moore Stadium on Saturday. Arkansas hurdlers swept the top four places in the 100m hurdles, with two current Razorbacks and a pair of alums. Taliyah Brooks produced a 12.73 victory (0.9 wind) while Daszay Freeman (12.93) and Yoveinny Mota (12.95) followed in second and third place as the top two collegians. Payton Chadwick was fourth in 12.98. Jayla Hollis posted a 13.39 to finish eighth in the race and 10 th overall. The performances by Freeman and Mota were career best times and moved them to No. 3 and 5, respectively, on the UA all-time list. Shawn Price April 29, 2021 BATON ROUGE, La. – No. 2 Arkansas competes against No. 1 LSU in the LSU Invitational on Saturday, May 1, inside Bernie Moore Stadium for the first meeting between the two programs since the Texas Relays in late March. “With LSU ranked No. 1 on the women’s side we want to go in there and see what they look like in person,” said Arkansas women’s associate head coach Chris Johnson. “The last time we’ve seen them was during the Texas Relays, so now we get an opportunity to look that them again and see where we can make some improvements as we try to contend with them on a conference level and national level as well.”
