In alignment with the company’s succession plan, Abrams joins Arch’s financial team in the role previously held by Richard Davis. Davis will remain with the company during a transition period, which will end on June 30, after which he will support the company in a consulting role through Dec. 31.
Abrams has more than 25 years of experience as a chief financial officer to numerous public and private companies; principal investor; investment banker; merchant banker; strategic and financial adviser; and board member. His capabilities span a broad range of activities with a particular expertise in the areas of operational management, complex financial engineering, financial advisory and capital markets strategy primarily for companies in the technology and healthcare sectors.

Russ Fontaine has been promoted to senior vice president, Customer Experience. He is a seasoned banking professional with 30 years of experience in key management and leadership roles in consumer sales and service. Fontaine previously held the position of first vice president, Sales and Market Management with Country Bank, where he oversaw sales and service. One example of a new program introduced by the bank, as a result of Fontaine’s recommendation, was the deployment of a “Voice of the Customer” program that enables the bank to measure and better understand the overall customer experience through various survey metrics. In his newly created role, Fontaine is tasked with leading a bankwide collaborative effort to view things from the customer’s perspective; this applies to both the bank’s external customer and its internal customer. BRITTANY MURPHY as a senior account executive. She is an alumna of Emerson College in Boston, where she received a degree in journalism. Prior to this she was at Western Mass News as the main anchor on morning and afternoon segments. Murphy will primarily work from Central Massachusetts and provide clients with a range of public relation services.
