Co-op sack funeral care workers after man's 35st body 'stored in wash room'

Co-op sack funeral care workers after man s 35st body stored in wash room The deceased family, from Birmingham, called on the funeral service to better accommodate larger people after Central England Co-operative s internal probe into the case in Nechells Updated The family of the deceased said more should be done to accommodate larger people after the case in Nechells, Birmingham (Image: Google StreetView) Two funeral care workers have been sacked after the body of a man who weighed over 35-stone was stored in wash room for four-weeks. It is understood the deceased was allegedly kept within his coffin in a washing and dressing room rather than being refrigerated in the mortuary at the Co-operative s funeralcare home in Great Brook Street, Nechells, because of his size.
