Date Time Authorised Workers – 2021 Census Field Staff, South Australia South Australia Police wishes to advise the community that Australian Bureau of Statistics Census staff are authorised to be in the field undertaking activities to enable households to complete their 2021 Census. As per Emergency Management (Activities General No 3) (COVID-19) Direction 2021, Census Field staff are considered to be authorised workers for the Australian Bureau of Statistics, under Schedule 3 1(1)(zf): Government or local government services (whether provided by government, local government or outsourced) determined to be essential by the relevant Chief Executive. These activities will be contactless and involve hand delivery of Census information and paper form to letterboxes of dwellings to allow people/households to complete their Census ahead of Census night which is 10 August 2021.
