Narrandera Shire Council
Australian Local Government Women’s Association (ALGWA) NSW are hosting a forum for Narrandera Shire Council on Saturday 15 May from 2pm to 5pm at Narrandera Golf Club, Racecourse Rd, Narrandera.
The forum aims to encourage, inform, and support women to stand for election across the state in this year’s Local Government Elections.
Across NSW, women support their communities in a variety of ways. From running school P&C’s, building and expanding local businesses, overseeing local sports competitions, community campaigns, coordinating drought and bushfire relief for neighbours and local businesses. These leadership skills are highly transferable to local government, where your skills can assist and benefit your entire community.

Mr Lockhart is recognised with the award of the Group Bravery Citation for his actions during a prison riot at Long Bay Gaol in New South Wales.
On the evening of 23 October 1986, a prison riot broke out at the Metropolitan Remand Centre at Long Bay Gaol.
