ASHFIELD The Board of Assessors, Board of Health and School Committee each have two candidates running for single open seats during Saturday’s town election.
Polls will open at 10 a.m. in the Lower Hall of Town Hall.
Mary Link and George Stephan, both caucus-nominated candidates, are vying for a three-year term on the Board of Assessors.
Link has served on the School Committee, the Finance Committee and the Sanderson Academy Local Education Council, and she believes her professional and personal experience makes her a worthy candidate. Link’s 36 years in Ashfield have given her roots in the community, and have bred an interest about issues regarding rural education, regional school funding and local tax burden.
