Police were called to reports of a person singing Mustang Sally at the top of their lungs in the early hours. The incident at an address in Ashurst Wood, near East Grinstead, on Sunday morning is being reported by police to environmental health officials on behalf of the residents who had to endure it . Mid Sussex Neighbourhood Policing Inspector Darren Taylor shared details of the unidentified singer s escapades on social media yesterday. He wrote: The team attended an address in Ashurst Wood 1.30am this morning due to a somewhat loud resident singing at the top of their voice the song Mustang Sally.
A COUPLE of mischievous horses were rounded up by police and helpful passers-by after hightailing it from their home. Fully in the Friday spirit, the unruly animals made a beeline for the pub in Ashurst Wood, near East Grinstead. But, with drinking holes currently closed due to lockdown laws, police were able to round the horses up and return them to their home - with the help of several good Samaritans in the village. A big thanks to all who helped round up a couple of horses that had wandered down to the pub in Ashurst Wood. Pub was closed - cue the why the long face joke - but reunited with owners.
