New Delhi: A Delhi court on Monday (April 26, 2021) granted bail to actor-activist Deep Sidhu, arrested in the Archeological Survey of India (ASI) case pertaining to the Republic Day violence at Red Fort during which parts of the heritage structure were damaged.
Sidhu was arrested by Delhi police on April 17 in relation to the violence during the farmers tractor march against the central government s new farm laws, moments after being released from jail in another case related to the incident, in which he got bail on April 16.

He is wanted for his involvement in the Republic Day violence.
The Delhi Police have also arrested three more individuals involved in the case.
New Delhi: Lakhbir Singh also known as Lakha Sidhana is wanted for his involvement in the Republic Day violence in the national capital. The Delhi Police have announced a reward of Rs 1 lakh for information leading to his arrest.
ANI quoted officials saying that three more people were arrested on Saturday in connection with the violence that took place during the farmers’ tractor rally in Delhi’s Burari area on January 26.
The accused have been identified as Sukhmeet Singh (35), Gundeep Singh (33) and Harvinder Singh (32).

New Delhi: The Delhi Police on Tuesday announced that they have arrested Punjabi actor Deep Sidhu over his alleged role in the Republic Day violence in Delhi during the January 26 farmers’ tractor rally. Sidhu was wanted by the police for the violence witnessed at the Red Fort.
Sidhu was nabbed by a team of Delhi Police s Special Cell from Zirakpur area between Chandigarh and Ambala. The Delhi Police had earlier announced a cash reward of Rs 1 lakh for information leading to the actor’s arrest.

Farmer unions, agitation against the recent farm laws, have postponed the planned February 1 march to parliament after the violence during the Republic Day tractor rally on Tuesday.
Balbir S Rajewal, the farmer leader from Bhartiya Kisan Union (R), has informed media that the march has been postponed for now. The next step will be decided in the next meeting, he said.
