NACOGDOCHES, Texas (KTRE) - Some Deep East Texans are set to begin a third week without running water. The wait ended this morning for one Nacogdoches County woman.
The private home repairs, and others like them, happened thanks to the generosity of others.
With a twist of a tap, the sound of running water came from Linda Lawson’s kitchen sink.
“Oh, it’s wonderful,” she said to the sound.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas (KTRE) - Shot clinics are planned for Thursday in Nacogdoches and another on Friday in Lufkin. They are not open to the public, but pre-arranged by medical providers.
They donât come soon enough for those fighting off infection in Deep East Texas hospitals.
Medical providers remind viewers that COVID-19 graphs and numbers represent individuals being cared for in Deep East Texas hospitals.
âWe have been, during the past week or two at both hospitals, maxed out with critical care beds,â said Gary Stokes, CEO at Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital.
