EDWARDSVILLE TheCENTER is one goal away from its first hat trick – getting built.
At its administrative and community service meeting Thursday, the committee unanimously picked S.M. Wilson & Co. to build the facility at a cost of $10,828,950. The engineers’ estimate was $11,375,000. All that remains is full council approval at its next meeting.
“I appreciate the mayor’s gumption,” said Alderman William Krause. “This was one of the plans he set out when he first came into office and here we are, a few years later and it’s coming to fruition.
