FORT WAYNE â Science Central is hosting a Teacher Resource Fair on Sunday, Aug. 1, that will give educators the opportunity to learn more about the programming available from Science Central, as well as nine other entities.
Running from noon to 5 p.m., the fair will see the participating entities outline their on-site and virtual programming opportunities for educators as they prepare for the upcoming school year. In addition to Science Central, other entities at the fair will be:

⢠Allen County Parks
⢠Fort Wayne Youtheatre
FORT WAYNE â Science Centralâs Earth Day Celebration is set for Saturday and will feature a day of special programming.
Jacquelyn Buck, education specialist with Allen County Partnership for Water Quality, will speak about her organizationâs mission to promote the improvement of local water quality. Neil Miller, communications and outreach coordinator with the Allen County Department of Environmental Management, will speak about the departmentâs efforts to help community members reduce their environmental footprint. Both will speak in the Lincoln Financial Foundation Demonstration Space, located in Science Centralâs Traveling Exhibitions Gallery.
At 10 a.m., Science Central will conduct a nature hike through Lawton Park. The hike will depart from Science Central, and participants will be encouraged to use the free iNaturalist smartphone app to document their experience.
