Wanamingo Sweeps Owatonna in Final Weekend of Regular Season
The Wanamingo Jacks are a game away from winning the Twin Rivers League thanks to 5-0 and 7-5 wins today over the Owatonna Aces in Wanamingo.
Gavin Roosen pitched the shutout, Sam Roosen got the win in the second game in relief of Brady Anfinson. KDHL broadcast the second game of the doubleheader.
The Jacks finish their regular season Sunday against the Winona Chiefs in Wanamingo. It will be free hot dogs for everybody at Memorial Field in Wanamingo.
After their 5-0 win in game one the Jacks jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning of game two playing on the visitors side of the half inning.
Wanamingo Defeats Dodge County in 80 Minutes
The Wanamingo Jacks got by the Dodge County Diamondbacks 3-0 today at Memorial Field in Wanamingo. The game was approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes long.
Wanamingo pitcher Brady Anfinson threw 92 pitches, 70 strikes with 5 hits allowed, 6 strikeouts, no walks in the shutout victory. Anfinson also benefitted from some terrific defensive plays by Alex Roosen and first base and Aaron Bauer at third base.
Dodge County starting pitcher Kasey Krekling (the Head Coach of the Hayfield Vikings Class A State Champions) pulled himself after the first inning due to an aching arm. He threw 12 pitches, 8 strikes. Allowed 2 hits in the inning.

One Rochester Roadrunner is in his 23rd season with the team and he s hoping to have a few more years left. It keeps me young. I like to play a lot of sports. I ve played baseball since I was five, started basketball at nine, soccer at ten, softball at fifteen. I m still playing all of those, so just trying to stay young and keep playing, says second baseman Jeff Swanson.

The team is doing something right this season.
They re first in their league. I ve played baseball since I was younger and I played in high school. Leagues like this are a great outlet to keep playing, says Bryan McCauley.
The Rochester Roadrunners are ranked number one in the Twin Rivers League, with only one loss on the season so far.
Bryan says the team is playing well together between the pitching, defense, and putting good swings on the ball.
