A woman attempting to cross the street at around 7 p.m. Thursday on Fort Campbell Boulevard was struck by a vehicle injuring her, according to a Hopkinsville Police Department report.
The report states Talimiqius Radford, 23, Hopkinsville, told officers that he was driving south on Fort Campbell in an unlit, dark area when Myra Bullard, 75, Hopkinsville, attempted to cross the road.
Radford stated that he did not see Bullard before striking her with his vehicle, the report said.
While investigating the incident, officers determined that Bullard was wearing dark-colored clothing and attempted to cross in a dark portion of the road where there were no crosswalks or traffic signals, according to the report.
A two-vehicle accident Thursday night on Fort Campbell Boulevard injured one person.
It happened about 5:30 p.m. and a report from Hopkinsville police says 48-year old Karen Schleicher of Hopkinsville was attempting to turn left from the Boulevard into the Big Lots parking lot and drove into the path of a southbound car operated by 30-year old Tempestt McCombs of Hopkinsville.
Their vehicles collided and McCombs’ passenger 51-year old Orlando Barbour of Hopkinsville was transported by EMS to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries. ); } return false; }); $( #comments .commentlist .comment-content a ).attr( target , blank );
