Arlington asks residents to report damage after last week’s winter storms
Damaged water lines can cause property damage and large amounts of water loss, the city said.
After last week’s winter storms, Arlington is asking residents for help to identify damaged plumbing or water lines.
By helping find these damaged lines, Arlington Water Utilities can keep water loss to a minimum and reduce property damage, according to the city.
Below is a list of the damages that can be reported to the city at 817-275-5931:
Water running from a commercial or residential business down a driveway, especially if the building is for sale, unoccupied or newly constructed.

Many cities in North Texas are under notice to boil their water prior to consumption, including washing hands/face, brushing teeth, and drinking.
Those affected should boil their water vigorously for at least two minutes before letting it cool to be used or consumed.
The power outages across the region have impacted water treatment plants in several areas, which is forcing cities to issue boil orders.
Water in Dallas is safe to consume, but residents in cities across the state are being asked to boil or conserve their water as added demand caused partly by broken water lines and rolling power outages put pressure on the supply. As of Thursday morning, there were more than 840 disruptions to public water systems affecting 13.5 million people statewide, according to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
Jose Velasquez, an international student at the University of Texas Arlington, has been able to hole up at the college since the state came to a freezing halt. While his power was out, he didn t even like going to his home because he was afraid of what condition he d find it in.
