West Ferris Intermediate and Secondary School students once again are leading the pack when it comes to math.

West Ferris students participated in the Canadian Intermediate and Senior Math Contest in November, with the intermediate grades 9 and 10 students placing first in the zone from Huntsville to Timmins, according to recently released results.
Grades 11 and 12 students were second in the zone.
Michael Miller, a Grade 9 STEAM student, was the school’s top-scoring student, receiving a school champion medal from the Centre of Education in Mathematics and Computing.
