Mule Day, music and monster trucks on board for the weekend

This weekend offers one popular Mule Day event making its way to the stage, as well as some great live music and entertainment options to get out of the house.
1. Mule Day Auctioneers Championship
This weekend kicks off with an event that brings a little of the Mule Day spirit back with one of its more popular competitions.
The 2021 Mule Day Auctioneers Championship, begins at 8:30 a.m. Friday at the Tennessee Livestock Sale Barn at 1231 Industrial Park Drive. The event also supports the Columbia Breakfast Rotary Club s College Scholarship.

Although spring doesn t officially start until the end of March, Columbia is kicking off the season early with First Fridays, special sales and other events to enjoy outside of the house.
1. First Fridays downtown
It s a new month, not to mention a much clearer weather forecast this weekend, just in time for another First Fridays block party downtown.
Shops will stay open late, with the main First Fridays events running from 5-8 p.m.
Mostarda food truck will be parked downtown starting at 2 p.m. Be sure to try the fried pizza fritta, as well as the shrimp or pulled pork roll.
