Optum Health found that 80% of employers expect their health and wellness program spending to increase in the coming years.
Employers are seeing a connection between happy, healthier employees and an increase in retention. There is also an improvement in productivity with reduced absenteeism and sickness. Employers are even reporting reductions in health care costs.

one study showing effective wellness programs lead to an average of a 30% decrease in workers compensation and disability management claims.

On 4 February 2021, WHO/Europe and the European Committee of the Regions (CoR) renewed their partnership by signing a new memorandum of understanding, as well as an accompanying action plan, based on the European Programme of Work and the political priorities of the CoR in 2020–2025.
Dr Hans Henri P. Kluge, WHO Regional Director for Europe and Mr Apostolos Tzitzikostas, CoR President, signed the agreement during the CoR Plenary session. This was an opportunity for Dr Kluge, to share information with members of the CoR about the COVID-19 vaccination campaign and the key role of local governments in curtailing the pandemic.

Virtual Class: Dimensions of Wellness Examines All Aspects of Self
An interactive and engaging virtual presentation on Monday, Feb. 1, 10 to 11 a.m., provides insights into a wellness model incorporating the physical, emotional, intellectual, spiritual, vocational and environmental aspects of life. Participants will be encouraged to review, recognize and celebrate their unique triumphs and what they are  already doing to live their best lives and what they might like to change. Presenter will be a transitional care nurse with Hartford HealthCare Center for Healthy Aging.
