Aside from a list of prayer requests, that is the entirety of the entry for that day. Out of context, it makes no sense. But reading those two sentences now whisks me back to that sticky summer morning. The trio of argumentative crows on my neighbor’s roof are cawing and fighting, oblivious to the sky painted in lavender and gold behind them. Observing them, I see myself in their behavior, my complaints and natterings stark against the backdrop of God’s extravagant love. I jog home, unsettled, to write about the experience.

Lifeway Women Revives In-Person Live Events Series
Lifeway Women Live, after a pandemic year of virtual events, has set April, August and September for three in-person events. These will star an array of renowned Bible teachers and bestselling Christian authors from Lifeway and B&H Publishing speaking under the banner of “Pursuing Christ Together.”
Women are hungry to study, laugh and cry together in person, said Betsy Langmade, manager of Lifeway Women events. “While women are resilient and creative and have found ways to do this, this past year has been a far cry from camaraderie and sisterhood you feel when standing in a room at a conference or sitting in a room doing a Bible study with a handful of other people.
