Mumbai: In the latest development in the Antilia bomb scare case, Assistant Police Inspector Sachin Waze, who was initially investigating the high-profile case and later arrested by the National Investigation Agency (NIA), has been suspended from service.
The NIA, probing the Antilia bomb scare case is investigating whether Waze was present near RIL chairman Mukesh Ambani s residence, where the Scorpio car was abandoned. Notably, explosives were present in the abandoned car near Antilia.

Encounter specialist Sachin Vaze
The National Investigative Agency (NIA) on late Saturday night arrested encounter specialist Sachin Vaze after interrogating him for about 12 hours in the Mukesh Ambani bomb scare case.
He ll be presented before a court in connection with an explosive (gelatin sticks)-laden SUV, which was found near Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani s house on February 25. The police also found a letter in the SUV, warning the Ambanis that it s a trailer and the big picture is yet to come .

Assistant Police Inspector Sachin Vaze, against whom the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) had registered an FIR in the Mansukh Hiren murder case, has filed an anticipatory bail application in the Thane sessions court. The ATS team investigating the death of Manuskh Hiren had registered an FIR against Vaze following a complaint made by Hiren s wife Vimla. The sessions court is expected to conduct the hearing for the anticipatory bail application on March 19.
Vimala Hiren said in her complaint that Hiren informed her that he submitted a complaint about harassment by police and media to the Chief Minister, Home Minister and Police Commissioner of Thane and Mumbai, as advised by Vaze

Mukesh Ambani Antilia abandoned car case to be probed by NIA
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) will probe the mystery surrounding an explosives-laden SUV abandoned outside Mukesh Ambani s home Antilia. Ambani is the chairman of Reliance Industries. The case was being probed by the Maharashtra Police.Â
The NIA took over the case following orders from the Ministry of Home Affairs, a PTI report said. The agency is in the process of re-registering the case.
The decision to transfer the case to NIA comes days after Mansukh Hiren, who was believed to be the vehicle s owner, was found dead under mysterious circumstances. Hiren s body was found from Kalwa creek in Thane on last Friday.
