Hearing reveals more details about fatal, alleged hit-and-run in Avon

Kelli Duncan/kduncan@vaildaily.com The Avon man accused of leaving the scene after hitting a pedestrian with his car came before the court Thursday for a pretrial hearing that revealed more about what happened that night in December of last year. Tyler Walker, 31, was charged with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in serious bodily injury, a Class 4 felony, after he struck Andrew Dolan, 46, with his car just after 7 p.m. on Dec. 5. Walker was traveling westbound on Highway 6 when the front right of his vehicle struck the right side of Dolan, who was crossing the highway from south to north from the Highway 6 East/Stone Creek Drive bus stop, according to an affidavit detailing the incident.

Drug dealer Terrie Renwick to pay back money gained

Renwick, of Vulcan Close, was detained and officers began to search the U-bend of the toilet. When nothing was found, they turned their attention to an external waste pipe and followed it to a grid outside the property. The officer opened the grid and found what they believed to be heroin and cocaine. Further examination revealed that there was 120 wraps of cocaine and 121 wraps of heroin with a street value of £2,410. A taser, phone and quantity of cash were also discovered during the raid. Liverpool Crown Court Renwick, who has a history of drug offences, was subsequently arrested and charged with possession with intent to supply class A drugs and possession of a taser.

Teenage boys reported after windows smashed at North Ayrshire Cancer Care Two teenage boys have been reported in connection with recent vandalisms at the North Ayrshire Cancer Care base in Kilwinning. The duo, aged 15 and 17, were reported after police were made aware of two instances of vandalism, one on January 22 and again on February 14. The windows and doors of the building were smashed in these incidents which left elderly volunteers distressed . Enquiries carried out by local officers resulted in two youths being referred to the Children’s Reporter Administration in connection with the incidents. Inspector Andrew Dolan, locality inspector for Kilwinning said: These types of crimes are understandably of concern to the local community and I would like to thank them for their assistance during our investigations.
