April 6, 2021 The North American Hockey League (NAHL) has announced its monthly player awards for the month of March. The Bauer Hockey NAHL Forward of the Month is Will Margel from the Johnstown Tomahawks. The Bauer Hockey NAHL Defenseman of the Month is Grant Docter from the Minnesota Wilderness. The Vaughn NAHL Goaltender of the Month is Jake Sibell from the Aberdeen Wings. Only players who are nominated by their respective teams are considered for the NAHL monthly awards.

Austin 4 @ Fairbanks 5 – The Ice Dogs built an early lead and held off a furious Bruins rally to pick up a 5-4 win in their debut at their temporary home in Marshall, MN. Things were going the Ice Dogs way through the 1 st and most of the 2 nd periods. In the 1 st period, the Ice Dogs jumped out to a 2-0 lead with goals from Mason Plante and Jake Hale, who each scored their 2 nd goals of the season respectively. Early in the 2 nd period, the lead for the Ice Dogs swelled to 4-0 as Andrew Garby scored his first goal of the season and Jasper Lester scored his second goal of the season.
